We select them one by one, observing their grain, color, and structure before even working on them.
Dense, resistant, with pronounced grain. The wood of grand Italian furniture, brought into the kitchen.
Dark and noble. American walnut is the wood of presidents' desks. Bringing it into the kitchen is a choice of character.

The time behind every piece.
We evaluate each board for grain, stability, and character, selecting only the solid wood suitable to become a Bottega Ruta piece.
Cutting, composition, and assembly take place in our workshop. Each piece requires over 30 hours of work.
Progressive sanding, oiling with food-safe finishes, and final hand inspection.
Each piece is numbered and accompanied by a certificate signed by the artisan before being placed in its wooden box.
